1 large sweet onion
1 tablespoon butter (margarine) melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Peel onion, cut off 1/4 - 1/2 inch off top.  Cut wedges to within about 1/2 inch of root end.  Place onion on heavy-duty foil (about 1 foot square).  Open wedges slightly sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic and parmesan cheese.  Drizzle with butter.  Fold foil up over the onion and twist shut at top.

Grill over medium heat until tender (can be cooked in oven on those rainy days).

For something different try:  thyme or oregano with rosemary or steak sauce or barbeque sauce.
