1 cup milk 1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup soft bread crumbs 1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup grated cheese 3 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter 3 stiffly beaten egg whites

 

Scald milk in double boiler.  Add crumbs, cheese, butter and seasoning. Stir in unbeaten egg yolks.  Carefully fold in egg whites and pour into greased dish, then set in pan of hot water.   Bake in 325° oven until mixture will not adhere to a knife (about 30-45 minutes).
